Extra funding received via the government’s Start Strong Childcare Program is being put to good use across Kids World Kindy childcare facilities. Dependant on each centre’s needs, we have been able to put in place a range of improvements, such as: professional development for current staff; and the purchase of new equipment and supplies for educational programs aimed at our 4-5 year old students starting school in 2024.
“It’s a pleasure to watch our nearly-school-aged children flourish in their final year of preschool,” said Lienna Mandic, Director, Kids World Kindy, “and the funding from the government’s Start Strong program is proving invaluable to both parents and childcare centres alike. The year before a child starts their formal schooling is a compelling time in early childhood education and care, and having funding available to focus specifically on this stage is having a visible impact on allowing these children to flourish.”
In addition to extra funding supplied directly to childcare centres to boost educational preschool programs for children in their final year before primary school, the Start Strong Program also delivers fee relief directly to the parents. Since January, Kids World Kindy parents of eligible preschoolers have been receiving weekly fee relief payments of up to $42.20 – paid as a reduction to a family’s gap fees.
The Start Strong funding program is available to children aged four and above, on or before 31 July, 2023, through these Kids World Kindy childcare facilities:
